Urban and Tourism Development in Tripura

 

LEA India has been engaged as a consultant by the Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited to develop a comprehensive strategy for Project Design and Management Consultancy (PDMC) for the tourism component of an Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded project focused on Urban and Tourism Development in Tripura. With a service value of US$ 1.06 million, this project aims to enhance tourism infrastructure in the state.

The Government of Tripura applied for financial assistance through the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance (Govt. of India) under the ADB’s Project Readiness Financing Loan for Urban and Tourism Development in Tripura. The goal is to prepare investment-ready tourism infrastructure projects for the state.

Since January 2021, LEA India has been providing services that include:

• Formulating tourism strategies and investment plans.
• Conducting tourism market analysis and investment needs assessments.
• Recommending policy framework reforms.
• Developing tourism marketing and promotion plans.
• Conducting pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for potential tourist destinations.
• Providing procurement support and developing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for prioritized destinations.
• Strengthening institutions and capacity development.
• Managing overall PDMC activities and supporting client agencies.
