Project Description

LEA India has been engaged to provide consulting services for data collection of state road network & establish a connection with required formats for Road Asset Management System (RAMS) in the state of Rajasthan as part of The World Bank funded Rajasthan State Highway Development Program (RSHDP II).

The RSHDP II is a prestigious project implemented by the Public Works Department (PWD), Government of Rajasthan aimed at building capacity for better management of state highways and to improve traffic flows on selected state highways in the state. One of the key mandates of RSHDP II is finalization and implementation of Road Asset Management System (RAMS) for the Rajasthan State Highway Authority (RSHA) and the PWD. In order to implement this system, the PWD availed the consultancy services of LASA for establishing a procedure to collect data for the road and structures; develop a web-GIS based application to input, store and disseminate data using a secure centralized facility at Rajasthan State Data Centre (RSDC); and appropriate web-based analytical procedures/tools to evaluate, select, and prioritise road/bridge works.
