Project Description

LEA provides consultancy services for Preparation of Master Plan for VMRDA Area Including Review and Revision of Existing Master Plans and Preparation of Zonal Development Plans for VMR 2041. VMRDA is the Second largest urban development authority of Andhra Pradesh, India, and envisaged as a Fintech city of the state.

The study extents is about 6,500 sq. km with about 5 million population. The region is well connected with Port, Airport, Railways and National Highways. VMRDA is the financial capital of the state and a vibrant investment destination in the country as well as global market. With established manufacturing base hosting major entities like Vizag Steels, Hindustan Petroleum, Hindustan Shipyard, Divi’s labs to name a few, the region is a powerhouse of industrial economy.

VMRDA region has been the focus of development over the last five years and facing increased dynamics with the neighboring towns of Vizianagaram and Srikakulam within the VMRDA region. Moreover, the impact of major proposals of new ports, airport and metro in the region require a sound Master Plan for a guided and regularized development. The scope of consultancy services includes preparation of Master Plan and Zonal Development Plans for the whole VMRDA Area for a horizon period of 25 years, i.e., upto 2041 along with review and revision of the current Master Plan for erstwhile VMR and VK-PCPIR, in accordance to the APMRUDA act, 2016.
